Returning a baby car seat to Walmart without a receipt?

Does anyone know if I can return it without a receipt?

My uncle bought me 2 months ago a Graco Snugride 22 car seat and stroller.

Unfortunately when I took it to the police to have it inspected, they said it isn't an easy car seat and that I would have to be adjusting the harness from the back all the time instead of the front.

Now, the issue is I don't have the box where it came in and I don't have a receipt and my uncle paid in cash.

So what could I do??

I would really like to exchange the seat at least for a safer and better one. I am a FTM.

Also if anyone knows if the Graco Snugride 22 car seat base fits a Graco Snugride 33.?

Call and explain to them first if not eBay, Offer Up, and LetitGo are good places.

I would call first and speak to a manager. If they approve it over the phone make sure to take their name and when you called and even ask when they will be in next to make the return easier. I used to be a manager in retail and would override the return policy if it seemed it was for a reason out of that persons hands. Just be nice!

They cannot take back a car seat or stroller without the box. They can't resell it or damage it out...and taking the base out is an unfair thing to even try...it's part of the system. If you are buying a 33 it'll come with a base. 
The carseat is fine...the 22...it's just not as convenient. It's perfectly safe. So just keep it and use it.

Give it a try! Depending on the walmart they will take it back without receipt. (Go to the friendliest looking person working returns, also more likely to be cool about it).

I used to work there in customer service I highly doubt they will return it. They might consider an exchange if you had the box but I'd try selling it online
