What do you think?

Carrie

A couple of days ago I came across a post from a girl that had killed a turtle because it was eating the fish in the pond. She posted pictures of this turtle that was bloodied and clearly dead, looking extremely ecstatic. She complained that she was tired of the turtle eating the fish she was trying to catch, and states that relocating wasn't an option.

Okay, so my problem with this is to me there was no need in killing that poor turtle! It would be different if you literally were living and relying on the fish you caught from the pond for food, this was not the case. Even then, I would surely try my best to relocate the turtle before resulting in mutilating it the way she did. We have grocery stores and many other options for food, and the pond was that turtle's main food source! Who is she to take it upon herself to kill this turtle just for trying to survive. As you can tell, I am EXTREMELY against killing unless need be (for food).

Anyway. I was wondering if I am the only one who shares this opinion, because it seems like it to people I have spoken about this with.

Here's a screenshot of the post:

UPDATE: I realize that this turtle was a safety issue to children, but relocation can solve that problem easily. Still no reason to kill. None whatsoever.
