Why was the cop who murdered Philando Castile acquitted?

This law abiding citizen had his concealed carry permit and was murdered by a cop anyway. Where is the justice in any of this?

For those that might have the urge, this isn't a post asking whether or not you know or are related to a "good" cop. Please spare us.

It was a trial by jury and they found him not guilty, I personally can't see why. I heard on the radio that the defense used the reasoning that the officer felt his life was threatened and reacted, and somehow that was enough to keep the jury from question the reaction. 
I live in the twin cities and everyone here is upset, people have been protesting pretty much since the verdict went out. I just hope he's never allowed to be a police officer again since they didn't manage to put him behind bars.

The people who are in tune with what is going on in today's world know what's going on. The system doesn't care. Looks like they found every reason against Philando to protect the cop. Probably dug deep and brought up drugs, records, childhood, education and appearance. I'm tired of seeing these headlines it's sickening. And it's sad to see people taking up for the cop aswell!

I live in the cities and I will not understand why they found him not guilty but I do know that the jurors at one point told the judge they were deadlocked and could not come to a decision and the judge said... go take more time. It's awful what has happened but one bad cop does not make them all bad. We need to break all stereotypes in order to truly live a free life.

I don't know and am really shocked that Yanez wasn't found guilty. I watched that video, there was no reason for him to have fired his weapon.
