chemical pregnancy & your cycle

I just had a chemical pregnancy on 6/8 and today I started my period. Is this normal for it to come on so fast?  My hormones seem to be all over the place. Besides being sad about what happened I feel so off, nauseous, emotional, and drained. How fast did your period come after a cp?  How long did you take to try and conceive?  I'm a little nervous and thinking maybe I should wait another period before trying again. Thanks for your help
