Natural Birth
My family and friends have criticized me for wanting to deliver without an epidural. I'm not sure if it is the hormones or what, but I get so aggravated and angry when they say negative things about how my delivery will go.
My sister-in-law, who has never been pregnant nor given birth, said, "I can't wait for you to eat your words. You're going to be begging for an epidural."
A close friend of mine, also never had a baby, agreed with her saying, "All women say that, but as soon as they feel the pain they get an epidural."
I got so upset. Why can't they support me? I would like to deliver naturally, but of course I won't hate myself if I do choose to get an epidural in the moment. Why do they feel like I can't do it? My husband thinks that I'll end up getting an epidural too. I really want to deliver naturally, but now I'm kind of doubting myself too.
