If my hospital is a half hour away, how far apart should my contractions be before i go?

With my first pregnancy my hospital was 45 minutes away and I waited until mine were 3-5 minutes apart. I had my son 8 hours after arriving at the hospital. But every women is different some go slower or faster with dialating and laboring. Go when you feel it's time and best of luck!

My DR says 8 mins if we live a ways away. We live 30 mins and I'll be heading in at about 10 mins since this is my second

I would go 10-1-1. Ten minutes apart, lasting one minute in length, that frequency and duration for one hour.
