How soon will a ob deliver twins? Will they let the go a full 40? Pregnant with twins and so full of questions lol

I just delivered di-di boy/girl twins at 37 weeks on the nose. They were born Preemie or late pre-term. 37-38 weeks is considered full term for twins.

My doctor told me he doesn't want me to go past 38 weeks which, per my research and OB, most twins are born around 35 1/2 weeks.

I had my di-di boys @ 38 wks. dr said it wasn't safe to deliver after 38 wks. That was 01/24/17 today they're 5 months old
