is there something wrong with me

I got my ears pierced when I was younger and they were fine - after a while they started to have puss and I stopped (on and off) wearing earring. Recently I tried to put them in but the right one ☝️ always closes up. Two days ago I thought screw it and re pushed the earring through the hole kinda re opening it. Today I took it out after it had been painful and it had puss come out (both ears) is this just my ears or am I doings something wrong with the earrings? Idk plz help
