Anyone else feel more attracted to your bf/fiance when he's rough?

So I can't be the only one who feels like this. My bf of two years is a 'gentle' dominant and I'm a submissive. He likes tying me up or choking me or putting a belt around my throat and tightening it when we go at it. (I LOVE it and we use safewords/taps so I don't get hurt.) For some reason I always feel so loved and more attracted to him than ever when he does these things. I know he would never hurt me and after he lets me up for a break he always kisses and cuddles me and holds me for awhile before he goes on. I feel like this is when he shows he cares for me because otherwise he doesn't show any emotion at all outside of hand holding. My friend thinks i'm insane. Anyone else feel like this?
