marriage in college?

Hi ladies! So I'm really in need of advice. My boyfriend and I have been together for four years. I have just completed my first year at a university, but I am already a junior in credits (started college classes in high school). My boyfriend is in the military and we can only live together if we are married. How will marriage in college effect things lik financial aid? Have any of you done this? I need help😭. We can wait. We don't want to, but we will if it's the smarter plan. Any input?

A lot of times marriage can help your financial aid because your parents can not be responsible for it any longer. My wife and I got married last year when we were 18. The only reason my wife got financial aid is because we are married.

My husband and I got married last month and it helped a TON with college financially. I got a $6000 dollar pell grant when I've never even gotten a penny the last two years. He got a $3000 pell grant only because his mom applied for it before we got married so he didn't get as much. We go to a community college so this much money was PLENTY!

I got married my senior year of college. Went on my honeymoon during thanksgiving break came back and took my finals hahahaha! It was great! We received more financial aide and cheap married couples housing! I would do it all over again. We've been married 7 years this year.

When I got married in college I was actually provided with more financial aid than before since we had such a low income. I would do some more research! We had very little but we always made it work! Best decision I have ever made!

Omg I got married and I lost my financial aid!!! I dont regret it but gosh it was hard to come up with the money even though I only had two years left. I finally have one class left and I'm going to have to ask my dad for the money because I quit my job to finish up school and we just bought a house so I don't want to wipe out our savings

I don't have experience with this situation but if you may him, you may get access to aid for bring married to someone in the military! I would research what you might gain as well as what you might lose.
