crib to toddler bed, what age?

At what age do people normally change there baby's bed from a crib into a toddler bed? My daughter is 15months old. She isn't climbing out of her crib or anything, but she's chewing the crib railing and chipping wood away. Im hoping once she is in a toddler bed or something the chewing will stop. 🤞🏽
