PCOS - fertility appointment

I have been ttc for over a year now and was diagnosed with pcos in January this year and started on metformin as I haven't had a period since October, I have my first fertility appointment with the NHS on July 13th. I was just wondering whether anyone could tell me what happened in their first appointment and how long it took from their first fertility appointment to be put on medication like clomid?
