Oddly enough we found a card and had my son give it to them. This was when I was pregnant with our second. We are currently pregnant with our 3rd and we all were going to the grandparents for a birthday or something and we all wore shirts that had a saying. My sons said promoted to big brother again, daughters was promoted to big sister, my husbands said Dad to the third, and mine said and then there was three. It took a few minutes for them to realize but it was awesome seeing everyone's reaction and how long it took each person to notice lol

lol I went to visit my mom sat on her bed...starred at her and said "Mom my period is 8 days late" she said "that doesn't mean anything" I knew I was prego already but I just wanted to see how she would react first lol she was very happy and as of my dad...I'm my dads baby and I was terrified so I had mom tell him and he was happy as well...maybe because they love my husband lol.

For my mom and my MIL we got a box of doughnuts and wrote "eat up, mommy doesn't want to be the only one with a belly. Love baby Morgan #2" 
And my dad I told him on his brith day, I got him a card from my son and wrote "happy birthday papaw, I hope you've had fun buying me stuff cause next year you'll have 2 to buy for"

A girl I know from high school announced hers by taking a photo of their only child with a chalkboard. The chalkboard said "Only child, expiring in February 2018". Maybe you could take a picture and print them out for your parents :)
