Help! I want my boyfriend back

So I just broke up with my boyfriend and I know that I shouldn't text or email him but I can't help but do it. And i know that I am starting to look pathetic and in need for him which I am not but I can't bare the thought that now I'm alone and lost my partner 😔. I let my pride get in the way and now I want him back. Do you guys think it's true guys comeback after some time?
