Advice Needed

My boyfriend just got back from a 3 week trip. He promised me that he would be with me the day he got back, but he didn't even try to make plans with me. He did make plans to be with his friend the next day. I just don't know why he doesn't want to be with me because throughout his trip he would tell me how much he missed me. Did I do something wrong?
