Is it mean not to say love you too to my mom?

I got really mad at my mom today And when ever I do get Mad at her she always ends with "love you" but I hate saying it back when I'm mad. Today I didn't and I kinda feel bad but I also don't. I do love her I just didn't want to say it. I'm 14.. should I have said I love you too or not?

You should be grateful your mom tells you she loves you especially after an argument. Tomorrow is never promised.

You should always say it back. Sometimes moms can take those things hard. I know sometimes it's hard, but you might not get the chance to say it again.

You shouldn't feel obligated to say those words. I'm the same way. Whenever I fight with anyone and they say "I love you" or "love you", I just say "Yeah, love you too." I don't feel like saying the whole thing or sometimes at all, but I also don't want to ignore it. So its completely up to you. I was taught by my ex's mother that no matter what you should 1. Always say I love you or love you and 2. Always give someone (like a partner) a kiss before they leave even if you're mad because you never know what can happen.

She knows you love her and understands you're upset but for your sake if, god forbid, something we're to happen and that was your last conversation, you want to say it. Always say it.

It's not mean but then again it is.. She says it to probably bother you but then again.. just think about it, what if an incident happens to you or your mom **knock on wood** the last thing you would say is "I Love You." And not have a bad memory and feel guilty.

I used to argue with my mom all the time, but lately I am at peace when I hold my tongue, let her get her anger out, and at the end of the day I know I treated the one who created me right.

Of course youre not going to say i love you when youre angry. Im 35 and i dont say that when im angry. As long as you make up later and tell her you love her when you have cooled off then youre ok. Im sure she knows that you love her even when youre angry. Dont be too hard on yourself. 💚💜💙
