Has anyone else ever had really late periods?

My periods are always so irregular that I don't even freak out anymore. I'm currently 18days late but I've had worse. I usually skip a month and one time I got it two weeks after having my period.🙄 It's so frustrating though, I don't use birth control but always wear condoms. I was put off birth control by my doctor as I tried the implant (horrific!!!😰) the mini pill and the ring but they took "really" bad affects on my body so they wanted me off till my body recovered😩 I never had bother with periods before birth control and I've been off everything for 2yrs now. Any ideas why this might be happening?🙈
