spoiled or not?

Hello ladies! Need your feedback so my 16 week old almost routinely falls asleep every night in my arms and I put her down as soon as I feel she's in a deep sleep. No issiues she sleeps through the night ...BUT lately for naps and at night she will fall asleep and as soon as I put her down she wakes up and crys uncontrollably😩have I created a BAD habit of spoiling her of always wanting to be carried?? I heard it's impossible to spoil babies this small...but what's going on with my LO? What should I do? I really don't approve of the crying out memthod...please HELP!! Thank you!

the two things i absolutely deteste the most in terms of "advice" from other moms around me is 1) i should not be letting him sleep with me & 2) i spoil him by picking him up when he gets remotely fussy... the way i see it, I am BEYOND spoiled to have my son in my life and one day he wont want my cuddles or kisses anymore so I'm going to take FULL advantage of every moment I can being the one he wants most when he needs comforting. just my opinion. there is no way you can spoil your child. they deserve everything you have to offer.

I learned just recently, because my daughter was only falling asleep in my arms, that if I put her in her crib and turn on her mobile, she will watch it for a bit and fall asleep. It's like she just needs her down time. She's gotten better at falling asleep on her. She will be 3 months on Wednesday.

I am having the same issue with my 17 week old and it is getting to the point where it is taking me 1 to 2 hours to put him to bed at night and 1 to 3 tries transferring him from my arms to the bassinet without him waking up. It is getting ridiculous and my husband and I are not getting any alone time at night. We mentioned it to the pediatrician yesterday at his 4 month appointment and she said that we are creating a problem and if it goes on too much longer he will expect this for the next year or more. She said not to let him completely fall asleep while taking his last bottle but wait until he is sleepy to put him down and then wall away. He he starts to cry to pat him a couple of times and then wall away. She said it might take a few tries but to just stay persistent. Last night I put him down, he went to sleep but started to fuss about 10 minutes later, I patted him and gave him his binky. He slept for 6 1/2 hours without waking again! Hopefully this will continue and it wasn't just a fluke!!!  Good luck to you!
