no baby shower.

So I'm almost 30 weeks and I haven't even had time to think about a baby shower, and when I do it stresses me out considering my house is literally a construction zone preparing for baby arrival.  The family member that talked about throwing me one months ago went to Bosnia and won't be back for another month. I honestly don't want to put that responsibility on any other person. I also don't see the point of throwing it myself.  In stead of spending money on a party I rather just go out and buy what baby needs myself. Anyone else not having one or dint have a baby shower?  Any of you have to throw your own?
