need advice...what to do in the hospital?

I'm a first time mommy and I'm planning to exclusively pump for my little girl coming in September(at least for the first little while). 
Breast feeding just isn't something I want to do and I have seen it from both sides, thanks to older sisters having babies!

My question is, what did you do in the hospital? Did you pump, breast feed or just use formula until you got home?

I'm afraid that trying to figure out pumping then feeding all while adjusting to becoming a momma and most importantly enjoying my new baby will be too overwhelming in the hospital. I'm not completely against breast feeding but I don't want to do it permanently.

Should I just try to breast feed or offer formula until I get home? I'm so torn on what to do..

I am four days out. When I checked in, I told them that I was pumping. I had a pump in my room within a few hours of delivering. I have been pumping every 3 to 4 hours to establish my supply. I have been able to take the little that I pump to make a bottle for my baby girl. I was nervous checking in and being pressured to rethink my decision but my L/D nurse and lactation consultant were exclusive pumpers. I felt so supported.

I exclusively pump. I started right after she was born and was able to get some milk but my LO wasn't fed for 5 days due to nicu issues so I can't speak to the early days. Make sure you go in with a plan. My hospital is breastfeeding natzis. Very pushy on it. I pumped every 3 hours for 1st 6 weeks then cut back. I would pump or breastfeed right away because the colostrum (the milk you make first) is so important for baby. Also, pumping and/or breastfeeding will signal to your body to make more milk, since it's a supply and demand system. If your child will latch well, i'd say try breastfeeding!  My son had issues and was in nicu for 7 days so i ep'd right after my c section. Ive been going strong for 9 months.

The hospital gave me pump parts and i used the hospital's ameda pump. Nurse took my milk to nicu. I pumped every 3 hours until about 6-7 months.

Ask any questions! Ive learned a lot on glow.
