How long did you wait to have sex again after a natural birth?

Wandering how everyone's experiences went having sex after a natural birth. I had a natural birth with a 2nd degree perineal tear a month ago and wanting to have sex soon. Is it too early?

I didn't tear, we had sex at 6 weeks and it was uncomfortable but not exactly painful. I would have waited longer if I tore. Get the ok from your doctor and make sure you feel healed before you try. And take it slow! It's going to feel odd at first.

I had the most minor of tears that required only like 3 stitches and i went back to the doctor 2 weeks postpartum because of what i thought was an infection (it wasnt), and was told i was basically completely healed and could resume sex and all that stuff in about one more week. So i was back to it after 3 weeks and didnt have any problems at all.
