how to treat a cold sore?

The morning after pill gave me me a cold sore, I suppose all the hormones triggered it because I used to have them when I was a teenager and never knew how to treat them exactly because they didn't last more than a day or two. I'm using abreva cream now. What else do yo suggest I hate it and it's uncomfortable 😭 i doesn't itch or burn, just a big bump 💥 in my lip.
