How did you tell your SO you were going to have a baby?

How did ya'll tell your fellas you were expecting? I can't decide if I should take a pregnancy test with him there, or if I should plan a fun announcement. Ideas? 💡

I took the test early that morning without telling him because I didn't want to set off a false alarm, I was on birth control at the time so it was waaaaaay unexpected. I went out with my family almost all day, only told my step sister about getting a positive, and when I went home that afternoon I had NO IDEA how to tell him. He was sitting in the recliner on his phone and I was sitting on the couch, sooooo I sent him the pic I took of the test without saying a single word 😅 The look on his face when he saw the pic was like a kid at Christmas and he stuttered trying to ask if I was serious. 22 weeks now and I haven't gone to bed without a kiss on the belly ever since I found out at 5 weeks lol

I'm not a cutesy person. I take a test and tell my husband. I feel like when people do the cute stuff is so they can post it on social media so they can show everyone how creative they were. Which is fine, just not for me.

Gave him a gift bag as an "early birthday present" when he got home from work.  Included the positive test(s) and a onesie from the college where we met!

For me depends. If he is home and knows I am going to test...I would just tell him the results.

However if I was retesting unbeknownst to him and came up positive definitely a cute announcement!! It just makes it so much more memorable and you could get great photographs to show your son/daughter one day.

I saw this great one today that I would love to do.

You tell your husband somehow there is a free photoshoot...or I would get a friend in on it saying they need it for a photography class or something. During the shoot you stand back to back with chalk boards and the photographer tells you both to write 3 words that describe the other person. Of course you write " your going to be a daddy" on yours. Then you both turn around at the same time and show your chalk boards. Hopefully you will capture the strong emotion of the moment.

Either way though. It doesn't really matter. You will be parents at the end of the day!

I was at my moms house for her birthday, so my whole family was there. My mom made me take a test bc I was being super bitchy, when it came back positive, all 7 of the girls started screaming, so everyone knew right then and there. 
If I get pregnant again in the future I want to take one at home and keep it quiet for a few months.

I didn't get to tell my SO I told a friend and she told him and he then asked and I then had to take a test with him instead of comfortably taking one by myself and then getting to do a cute announcement. I still hate the girl to this day. She took the one thing that meant the most at that time and stole it basically. Who does that crap!!!??? 😑 so I peed on a stick and sat st the end of the bed while my boyfriend went to look at it. And then when I started crying he didn't understand why i was so upset (long story but we weren't planning it and I was in shock so I cried and he was confused he isn't the emotional type!)
