Feeling baby kick?

Question

Im 20 weeks (first pregnancy) and still haven't felt the baby kick. I read that it would feel like flutters or gas but still nothing. At 18 week doc app, I was told that the plecenta is in the front so it might take longer but should happen 18-20 weeks. Otherwise a healthy pregnancy. Should I be concerned? When did you feel it?

With it being your first AND the placenta being in front, I wouldn't be worried at all if you didn't feel anything until weeks 23/24 even. I've heard that time frame from a lot of first time moms with anterior placentas.

Hi! I have an anterior placenta too (currently 35 weeks) and i am a FTM. I never felt the flutters everyone said I would. I first felt my baby at 19 weeks and a few days. It was really low, and it really just felt like someone poking my belly but from the inside. Like a little thump. To feel him that early, I would lay down flat on my back and be still. I could actually feel his kicks better with my hands on my belly. By about 24 weeks youll feel them without a doubt. For me, between his first kick and 23ish weeks, i only felt a couple of light taps. Now i feel him alllllll the time!

I didn't fee kicks til more like 22 weeks. And they felt like muscle twitches. It takes longer with the first one

I was the same way.  They said the same thing to me and I felt him at 20 1/2wks.  My husband was able to feel him at 21wks
