Do you feel more pressure when you're dilated?

My doctor said that they don't do cervix checks until 37/38 weeks so I have like 2 or so weeks until they start. But now I'm feeling extra pressure when I pee. Is this because of dilation or just blood flow?

Pressure is usually a sign of effacing (softening and thinning of your cervix) and painful contractions is dialation.

No. I was feeling lots of pressure at 37 weeks (now 39) and thought for sure I was dialeting but when they checked me, NOTHING was happening! Now I'm only at 2cm and the pressure is horrible!

Every time I tell my doc about the pressure (it's intense!) she says, "yep that's what happens". Very normal and even more normal the more pregnancies you have had. She said the first time you're like a new trampoline with good spring back and later you're like a more worn out trampoline! (I laughed kind of).

I have extra pressure down there and I have no dilation and the baby still isn't low enough yet. It's just cause the baby is making his way down. When they flip head down that's when you get more pressure when you pee

Its not necessarily when I pee but I have been feeling more pressure down there and my dr told me its just baby moving his way down. Obviously I can't say yours is the same thing for sure.. haha but that is what I was told. I'll be 36 weeks tomorrow.
