What she should your daughter start to date

What age is it okay to let your daughter start dating ? my mother still doesn't let me date and I'm 16 years old, I'm in school doing as I should, and yes I have a boyfriend but my mom isn't allowing it, when she was younger her mom was hard on her as well that's why she use to sneak around, why would she be the same with me when she knows maybe I would sneak around too?! idk what to do
