So my man and I had a disagreement today on whether or not I can stand up for my self. Now he hasn't had to see that side of me I'm very good at hidding emotion and processing how I feel. My sister and family always start a conversation with me but never answer my questions. He says I care too much and need to tell them to basically fuck off. Any thoughts? I'll provide more info if needed.

I'm not sure what you mean? Your sisters or your man walking over you? Because more than likely he's telling you this because he does think you're being walked all over and wants to see you stand up for yourself and not be disrespected. Even speaking up and being like "hey so and so you didn't answer my question, (then repeat question)" qualifies as standing up for yourself
