How did you prevent stretch marks during pregnancy?

I really don't want to get stretch marks, I'm using coconut oil for now, I hear castor oil is good. What did you do to stop any stretch marks from appearing? 
I have a few stretch marks from losing weight and I really don't want anymore.

Stretch marks during pregnancy are hereditary. You can moisturizer well to hopefully minimize them, but if your mother and her mother got them, then chances are good you will too.

I am now 33 weeks pregnant and have them on my stomach. It's genetics mostly and can't be avoided no matter what you do. You can improve your chances but keeping hydrated and your skin moisturised but if they are coming they are coming.

It's genetic so you're going to get them if it runs in the family. I actually didn't get them bad at all surprisingly, I drank a ton of water even before I was pregnant, but especially during pregnancy. And I used bio oil twice a day and coconut oil sometimes.

I've used all I can but I still got them. Belly, boobs, and thighs. Also, my mom and grandmother never got any. Their skin is/was smooth and silky. I'm jealous.

You're pretty much doing all you can; lotion and oils every day. Keep your water intake up, being hydrated helps. If those don't work it's just your genetics and there's not much you can do, but work with what you got and try to make them less visable.

I didn't get any on my tummy but I got them on my boobs. I used Johnson and Johnsons baby oil (cocoa and shea oil mixture) every other day on my belly and breasts. Be sure to get your love handles area and lower back as well. Not sure if that's really what worked, but I think it's worth trying!
