insurance only covers two ultrasounds?

Is this normal? It says 2 is unless medically necessary to have more. How many did you have while pregnant?

I only had 2. One when we first found out we were pregnant and the other one for a gender

Yes that's normal for many insurances. I'm high risk so I get one every 2 weeks but I pay nothing and they are 100% covered. I've had so many I've lost count.

I had six. My first was at 6 weeks but it was too early. I had another at 8, 16, 20, 28, and 37 weeks. I wasn't high risk. My insurance covered all of them. Others I spoke to had four.

Totally normal! I got one at 8 weeks (had to have an early ultrasound to check for multiples since I was on fertility medication), then I had my 20 week anatomy scan. I won't see my little girl again until birth day!

I had four but only because once they couldn't find the heartbeat, once I was leaking fluid, and once because one of my blood tests came back a little abnormal. It's typical to only get two. It's not actually recommended to get more, unless there's a medical reason.
