Baby shower for second boy when the oldest is only gonna be 17 months older?

I do have clothes, but there's a few things I'd like to have with this second one I didn't know I needed before. Plus I'd love diapers and wipes. Is it selfish of me? (Items I'd like would be a boppy pillow, a co sleeper, those kinds of things. I'd put it on a registry and hope I get help buying them) I don't want to seem selfish.

Yeah I wouldn't be Okay with that.  If you made it through one baby without those items I'm sure you'll be fine until you save enough to buy them yourself.

I'm pregnant with my second and my first is a boy and he will be almost 18 months when the new baby comes. If this is a boy, I'm still going to have a baby shower, just not as extravagant. They call the second one if it's the same gender a "sprinkle" instead of a shower. I say go for it!

Maybe just have a diaper shower instead of a full blown baby shower. Personally I think the other things you want you should be able to just buy yourself, but if you want to do it, then do it. If people don't want to buy it then they don't have to, right?

Here is what i think... we celebrate birthdays(along with other holidays) every year, go get presents and stuff. Everyone gets to celebrate those. Not the same with pregnancy. Go celebrate your baby. And dont worry about what others think or say. Good luck to you 😊🌹

Don't listen to the baby shower nazis. You have one if you want! I would never judge a loved one for having a shower. I've seen people include on their invites that they are only needing diapers and wipes since they already have everything else they need. There is nothing wrong with it. Just keep it casual and fun!

Have one if you want! You can even say on the invite that a gift isnt necessary if you decide to. I feel like a baby shower is just a fun party to celebrate baby
