So my boyfriend and I are currently in a LDR where we don't get to talk that much. He's away working and is barely able to text or call. A few days ago, he texted me and asked if I was okay with being in an 'open relationship'. To be honest, no, I'm not exactly okay with that. He said he just wanted to be friends for now, but once he got done with his summer job, we'd get back together. The reason he wanted to do this is because he "doesn't want to stress about not being the best boyfriend" and it "doesn't feel like a real relationship" because of the limited contact. He also said he didn't want to limit me while he's gone. I asked him if he was planning on getting together with someone else during the summer, but he said no. We love each other a lot but I don't know what to say about this. Should I go through with just being friends for the summer, or just break things off?
