Should I wax?

So I wanna get a Brazilian wax because I'm tired of shaving but I'm kinda scared. And TMI but my butt is hairy and I really need to get rid of the hair. I know that's really gonna hurt! Should I start with a bikini wax first or go straight into a Brazilian? Or is there any other method besides shaving that will last?
