I skipped my period and now I'm not getting one.

Last month I skipped my period and just started taking my sprintec pack the next day after finishing my 21 active pills. I started the new pack on July 9th, I was a couple hours late taking my pill a few days and then on the 23rd I noticed kinda pinkish discharge, and I bled red for like 1 minute I put a tampon in bc I thought it was my period but barely anything was on it when I took it out. Could that have been implantation bleeding? I get my period 3 days after finishing my active pills but I haven't gotten it yet and I'm kinda nausea. I've never skipped my period before so I was wondering if maybe delayed or missed period could be a side effect. I was also wondering since I am suppose to be protected on placebo week, would taking my pills/ taking them late make me less protected?? Is it too early to take a test what do I do??????
