Cake with Bourbon cooked - okay??

My sister in law made a gorgeous chocolate cake, that has bourbon cooked into it. Is this safe? It's not in the frosting, just in the cake.

I've heard it's ok, but I've also heard it's a misnomer that it's ok... so I'm not really sure. I think it'd be fine though.
