Long distance relationship?

Question

Who has had a long distance relationship or is in one right now? I'm talking to a guy that lives faraway and wondering if should continue talking to him and possibly meet him someday. But I'd like some insight as to what it's like.

I met my now husband playing video games 6 years ago. I liked him and he liked me too but we lived in different countries (i was in brazil and he was in the us) and there was no way it would work. We kept being friends, even though we would fall sleep talking on Skype, or watch online movies together, we knew being official would make things a lot harder, we did this for over 4 years, without meeting once.
Keep the relationship cool, no serious commitments, just flirting buddies, try to get to know him all you can, learn the good and the bad and understand that the best kind of relationships starts with friendship. 
Long distance is hard and tiring, you have to be 100% sure is worth it before you commit to it. Get to know him well first and you will know if you wanna do this or not.

I've had three long distance relationships, all of which were with me in England and the guys in America, while it was amazing while each of them lasted it becomes very difficult unless you work hard to spend time with eachother, whether it's just messaging every day or skyping in the evening

I'm in one and have been for over 3yrs. We have a very stable foundation though and build one prior to becoming long distance. I already knew him very well, I knew I could trust him, that he was loyal, we were supportive of each other, we already had mutual respect and we were already in love. We became long distance when I moved away- we did break up for a time, but after realizing that he could and truly wanted to commit my boyfriend came back. We've been LDR ever since. 
I honestly couldn't do it if we hadn't built a foundation prior to doing distance. It's a lot harder to build a strong relationship when you start long distance, especially when you don't even know the person. It's easy to hide your personality, weird quirks, etc over technology. You just don't get to know the person the same way. It's more intimate and more personable when you're together physically. Long distance is hell. It takes so much love and commitment to survive it. I could never start from scratch with someone I didn't have a pre-existing relationship with, I'd at least have to know the person well as a friend prior to distance and prior to starting a relationship.

I'm gonna be honest. I had one and it didn't go well . We never met and come to finish out he was 52 . It was really bad Bc he always talked sexually . When he did that u blocked him and deleted my whole account I'm here for you and hopefully the relationship you have will last 💜💜
