My husband and I love the name Erik. We have two other names we are considering Anders and Grant. However, both of us are drawn to Erik. The only problem is our last name is pronounced 'Gerik' although it is spelled in a very different/difficult way. My husband believes the rhymed name will help people pronounce our last name and give our son a memorable quality. While I would generally stay away from rhyming names, I don't know if it's really that awful or if I've just adjusted to it? Please comment with honest advice.
