Tips for bottle feeding?

My 3 month old BF baby refuses to take a bottle these days. We introduced her to a bottle at 2 weeks (OKed by pediatrician since we had a good latch). She took the bottle great for a few weeks but now refuses to take it for some reason. I've tried different bottles (medela, dr. brown, and tommy tippee), leaving the house, different people feeding her (mostly my husband), me feeding her (this worked one time). If she is given a bottle she has a complete meltdown. 😣 I certainly don't mind breastfeeding but would like her to take a bottle if I need to be away from her for more than a couple hours. Any tips? Has anyone experienced this? Are babies willing to starve themselves rather than take a bottle?!

Try the MAM or minbie bottles!! They have s really high success rate for breast to bottle

My son was actually the opposite. He was in the nicu for the first 9 days being bottle fed b/c he wouldn't latch properly. Once we took him home I continued to pump and bottle feed until he was about a month when he got the hang of breastfeeding. Since then, it's been 2 months as he's 3 months now &I; I've tried to give him a bottle but I was told to "pace feed" if you look it up it'll help! Also if your baby knows your there she most likely won't take it my son won't I heard it cause if they know they can breastfeeding(they can smell/see you/your milk) why take the bottle?? Try going into another room while they're being bottle fed and try MAM bottles they're the only ones my son will take when I'm away.

Have you tried feeding her when she's sleepy and only somewhat hungry, rather than waiting until she needs to eat and is super hungry? If she normally eats every 3 hours, try feeding her after 2 hours when she's been napping. Babies tend to be more accepting when they're sleepy and don't have any overwhelming needs.

You could also try breastfeeding for the first half of a feeding and then swapping to a bottle halfway through.

If it helps any, my breastfed daughter uses Playtex VentAire bottles. She'll accept others, but seems to prefer wide bottles.

Maybe your baby won't take the bottle when you feed because they smell you so try with someone else. The comoromo is like a silicone bottle so it feels like your breast. I use the dr brown and my baby likes it nipple soft too

Have you tried comotomo? My son loves them. We planned on using them as a transition between breastfeeding and dr Brown's, but he's hooked and won't have anything else!
