Confused I guess...

So my bestfriend's bf proposed to her today, they have been dating for about 6 months less than me and my boyfriend, and we will have been dating for 2 years in October. So anyways I told my bf that he proposed to her and he said that's so dumb, and he doesn't understand why everyone is in a hurry to get married. And of course my friend was like "so when's Nick gonna propose," and I said probably never. I don't understand why my bf is so against marriage, me and my anxiety-filled self feels like its because he doesn't really know if he wants to be with me forever, am I just worrying over nothing or does it sound like he's unsure??
