I'm supposed to start my period in four days, but when I went to the bathroom I had a pink-ish discharge. A little after I saw that I started getting slight abdominal pains on the left, and I started getting nauseous {I've never been nauseous before my period before.}. The nausea worsened, but the pain stopped. I also ended up getting a light spotting of red blood a few minutes ago. Is this me just being hopeful, or is it just an upcoming period?

UPDATE: I've also had to go to the bathroom three rims within the past two hours or so, and the slight abdominal pains on the left came back.

UPDATE: The pains and nausea have worsened, and I'm extremely emotional.
