Did you have the tdap vaccine ?

If yes did it cause problems? And If not why???
I'm so scared to have the vaccine I don't agree on vaccines whilst pregnant 😭😭 
most of my family didn't have the vaccine whilst pregnant (due in the winter) so I don't understand why I've been offered it.

Yes, got it yesterday and got it with my first too. It offers protection to your baby against whooping cough since I don't think they can get the tdap vaccine until 6 months. Whooping cough is horrible and can be deadly to a baby. Anything I can do to prevent it, I'll do it in an instant. My only issue was a sore arm and it's beginning to go away on day two. My doctor is also a mother and got it when she was pregnant with her two kids and highly recommends it as she's seen the devastation of whooping cough on babies. You tube videos of whooping cough on babies and see if that changes your mind.

I did have it when I was 28 weeks I think. Nothing happened. I have a healthy, happy, and thriving seven month old.

I got it and have a slight allergy to the latex but it only gave me a red bump. Hubby got it and family visiting did. It's not worth it to me to risk my child by waiting until they can get it

Yep. Got it and the flu shot about 27 weeks pregnant. My arm was sore for a day and that was pretty much it. Had a healthy 7lb baby girl in January!! 💗

Some vaccines, like mmr, you can't have when pregnant because they're live viruses. That isn't the case with tdap though and it's perfectly safe. Getting the tdap vaccination while pregnant will mean your body will pass on antibodies to your baby so they'll have some of your immunity to whooping cough when they're born, which is a big deal because they can't have their own vaccination against it until at least six weeks of age. If you don't get that vaccination while you're pregnant, you're opening your baby up to catching whooping cough during the first six weeks of his or her life, and that's the most fatal time for it.

I got it while pregnant and had no issues from it. My son had no issues either. My doctor recommended for me and my husband to both get it as well as anyone who would consistently be around the baby those first few weeks, such as grandparents.

I had it at 27 weeks and was completely fine. Baby is now 35 weeks and cooking as she should. No side effects but a sore arm. It's important to give those antibodies to your baby while they are still in the womb. It's the only protection they have for awhile.

TDaP is a 10 year booster. If you've had it within that time frame I don't see a reason to get it again, and I won't. However, I will be advising those who would like to hold my child they need to have had it or gotten the booster. Whooping cough is no joke.
