Ovulation plug?

Question

I've noticed having a mucus plug during my ovulation days. What does this mean? Does it mean ovulation is over or is it the right time to TTC? I had my plug this morning, took a test this afternoon and it was my Peak day!! Sorry if this grosses anyone out. I'm just curious!

A mucous plug is something you have when pregnant and not at any other time. You lose it at the end in preparation for labor, it's large can be almost golf ball sized if it comes out whole, or you can lose it in pieces. You should not have a plug at any other time as everything is supposed to be open.

Egg white texture stretchy mucous is considered fertile mucous it's called ewcm egg white cervical mucous. No plugs at all. Try reading "Taking charge of your fertility" by Toni Weschler to learn about your cycle and what things mean.

Maybe I'm thinking it's a mucus plug. Its just very thick and sticky and reminds me of a plug.
