Are boys really "all boy"??

Question

Our first is a girl (8 years old) and very outgoing but sensitive. Has always been very easy. We're due with a boy in 3 weeks and I'm terrified haha. Everyone keeps telling me boys are "all boy" and rowdy etc etc. When I'm around all my tiny boy cousins and they're running around like mad, it gives me serious anxiety about it! So if you have a boy already, do you find this to be true? Or do you think boys are often this way because parents assume they will be and are more lax on discipline/telling them to settle down etc? Help!

It's all in how you raise them, their surroundings, and their own personalities. I have all nieces but a 3 yr old son and they are definitely different in areas but I wouldn't be scared or get anxiety. You'll do great!

I have a 5 year old nephew and he's a very sensitive little guy, and a little shy. He definitely doesn't get in trouble for being too rowdy but only when he doesn't do what's asked. I also I have a 3 year old nephew who's a little shy but it doesn't take long for his wild side to come out, lol. Very different personalities.

My friends son is a maniac... Don't get me wrong he's cute and smart but they treat him more like a friend and by 2 he was running around like a lunatic punching and kicking. Watching things on tv that are not age appropriate, sigh! Anyway, I'm not friends with his mother anymore and I'm kind of relieved because I didn't want my son picking up on that bad behavior. My kid is a typical toddler but he is also super sweet and funny. He loves hugs and kisses and animals and reading. He gets into all kinds of toys etc but he doesn't round around like a wild animal. I absolutely believe it's all about how your raised. Here's a pic for proof boys can be super duper sweethearts 😍

I don't have a boy (yet. God I hope we get pregnant with a boy soon!!) But I don't think that's true for every boy. My brother was "all boy" but my nephews were pretty chill. They liked to run and play of course, but they weren't loud or rough.

I have 3 boys 2 of them are all boy but my oldest is not. He loves to cook with me, and dress up, and play with baby dolls so thats definitely not true.

I have a 12 yr old daughter and two boys 6, and 21 months and the boys are bat shit crazy. Lol in a good way though. I was just telling a group of guys that I've known for decades at a bbq that there is something a little off about boys right from the get go. I joked like there's a wire not connected or something.

I have a 2 year old son. I don't want to say he is all boy. But he definitely is. Boys do have a soft side though. While he can run around and make a mess and play rough with our dog there are also days where all he wants to do is snuggle and watch cartoons and he is sensitive when I get hurt. Usually if I get hurt for real and say ouch or something he gets really sad and sometimes will cry like he was the one who got hurt. He's super sweet. But then can turn around and be a monster. I LOVE it!

I have a three year old son, and he is so laid back its unreal. He never cried as a baby and was always content and we rarely get tantrums out of him now. He does like to play rough and tumble with dad, but hes also really sensitive and enjoys doing girly stuff with me like playing hairdressers and painting nails. I reckon the next one will be a nightmare haha

I have 2 boys... well my baby is 7 months but my 8 year old is definitely a boy. He is however very sweet kind and sensitive.  He loves his mama and electronics. Lol he recently started reading alot.... my sweetheart.
