My birth story 7-6-2017 💙!

Liz

By the time I hit 38 weeks pregnant I pretty much was trying everything I could think of to go into labor. Pregnancy is a beautiful thing to experience and this second one was different for the better in my own life experience and I knew I was going to miss it but I just wanted my baby boy here. I was having really bad heartburn to the point where I would wake up in the middle of the night trying not to vomit, my body had pretty much given up so it was painful to do anything and my hips were killing me. Nothing was working to induce: we tried sex, fresh pineapple and pineapple juice, bouncing on a exercise ball, squats, walking and tennis. My baby boy was due to get here 7-7-2017 but ever since his ultrasounds the dr told me he was measuring a week ahead so he said he could come on 7-1-2017. July 1st came, July 2nd came, July 3rd came and nothing. On July 4th I was experiencing early labor contractions I went to the hospital because they were 5 mins apart, they kept me at the Triage to monitor me for a few hours but than they got inconsistent so they sent me home. I had an appointment with my OB on Wednesday the 5th, when I got there we pretty much talked about everything, I told him I didn't want to just wait and go over. So he asked me how I felt about induction and scheduled it for the next morning at 5 am. I was happy that my son was going to be born but nervous since it had been almost 6 years since my daughter. I couldn't sleep that night just emotional and nervous and crying. We got to the hospital 5 am by the time we got checked in and they started Pitocin it was around 6:30 am. I was at a 3 when I got there, by 9:45 they were coming 2-3 mins apart and they hurt like hell I was dilated to a 4 by that time. I opted for the epidural knowing I wanted it and I didn't want it to be too late. At 11:58 they came in to check me and told me I was at an 8 so it wouldn't be much longer. By 12:30 I was a 9, they had me switch positions on all 4's for 15mins so he could get more in position. They told me it wouldn't be much longer. 15 mins later I felt urge to push the nurses and dr came in, I pushed for 15 mins and he was born. 7pds 15oz & 19inches long! 2nd best day of my life. He has a big sissy and a loving mommy and daddy :) we are obsessed with him!

Miklo welcome to the world! I have waited anxiously for you and your so loved. ❤️
