So I'm paranoid as hell, being I've never taken the mini pill until recently. I just started my second pack, and supposedly you're supposed to get your period on the blue pill days. I didn't. There was some spotting and that's it, so we did the deed, several times, no protection. (That's what birth control is for right?) 
So what are the odds that I'm an idiot and should have used a back up form on the blue days? I haven't missed any days, and always taken the pill by 10 am. 
I'm taking Orsythia if that helps any.

The mini pill can really lighten your periods since it has no estrogen. Your uterus doesn't develop a very think lining (this is how these pills work to prevent pregnancy) as a result which means your period isn't always very heavy. With low dose pills and the mini pill skipping periods due to a lack of a uterine lining is fairly common. Of course if you're worried call your doctor to check!

Hey girl, I'm all new to the pill myself. That being said, I'm not an expert, but do what you think is right. If you feel like you need to see a doctor, go for it! They could probably tell you what's up. Hope everything works out.
