When?

When do I walk into labor and delivery... I have been having contractions and been dilated to 1cm since the Fourth of July but they sent me home.

Six days later still having contractions I'm terrible at timing them but I believe they are somewhere around ten minutes. How do I know the difference between it's just painful than it is time. this is my second child and my first I was induced from my water leaking I have heard some say the second is much easier and not as painful and to tell you the truth with the first if I hadn't gone from 0cm-10cm within three days I probably wouldn't have felt as much pain as I did so I really have no clue...
