Am I the only one who refuses to be induced?

Question

I find that induction is 9/10 completely unnecessary. I'm almost 37 weeks, and my doctor has already offered to induce me at 39 weeks and was shocked when I said no.  She said well aren't you miserable?
Um, yes I'm miserable lmao it's 100 degrees where I live with 90% humidity 😑 but I don't like to mess with fate (unless medically necessary) and I think birthdays are important and I want his birthday to be what fate wants it to be. I feel like a lot of women on here are getting induced. 
So my question: are you refusing to get induced?

Babies come whenever they want to and whenever they are ready. Why force the natural way!? I say no to induction unless it's 💯 medically necessary. Example- preeclampsia, low fluids.... 🤔 that's all I can think of. But if your doctor wants to be they think the baby is too big, that's not a reason, but if they think the baby is too small and they have ligit concerns that's a reason, but not always necessary. A smaller baby might just need more time and should be monitored not evicted. I agree with you- 9 out of 10 there's no reason for induction.

Honestly I don't want to have one however I have GD and it could be dangerous to go past 39 weeks

I'm on insulin with GD and have no choice. When they stay taking still birth with my rainbow I'm going with what they say. Luckily I tend to have my babies early they are hoping she may come on her own.

I'm not going to refuse completely, but if it's medically necessary or advised then I would. For my own comfort? Probably not, but I don't blame/judge other women who want to!

Funny story, with my first daughter he due date was May 16th. Doc scheduled my induction for May 17th. 
Apparently she didn't like either of those plans and came on the 15th! In the middle of work I got hit with a hell of a contraction with 0 warning. Lol my poor male boss thought I was dying and called 911. 
EMTs had a good laugh but I was embarrassed 😅

I told my midwife only way I'll be induced is after 41weeks nothing sooner

I agree with no induction. My aunts doctor was pushing her to induce, saying her baby is too big. She chose to wait until baby arrived on his own. He was 6 lbs 3 oz. another time her doctor was pushing her to get a c section because her baby was breech (labor hadn't even started yet, and it was her 4th baby, so most babies won't even be head down till labor starts). She chose to wait, and her baby was delivered naturally, and NOT breech.
My midwives don't talk about inducing until 41 week appointment. And even then, they give the pros and cons of inducing vs waiting.

The o my way is get "induced" is through acupuncture and I won't do that unless I go over my 40 weeks. Medically inducing can put you at a higher risk for c-section.

I feel the same my cousin in law has the same due date and doctor as me and said he will recommend induction at 37 weeks I was like um wtf if my baby and body is ready she'll come out naturally. Stop tryna medicate me! Damn wanna give me medication/ pills / shots for every lil thing but God forbid I smoke a lil weed to cure it all!!
