Is it true that breastfeeding can be used as a method of birth control?

I had unprotected sex last week,and I'm breastfeeding a 1 month baby...is the any chance of me falling pregnant again even when I haven't got my menses?

Yes. There is a high chance of you getting pregnant. Women are usually VERY fertile after giving birth.

Yes it can be used as birth control although it's only if a set of "rules" are followed. And even then there's always still a chance of pregnancy just like there is with the pill etc.

Breastfeeding is NOT a method of birth control. A very close friend of my sisters got pregnant 3 different times while doing this...don't ask me why she kept using this method! Lol but she did and now she has four beautiful boys!

No!!! My youngest two are eleven months apart thanks to a father in law that was a large animal vet and assured us that cows didn't ovulate while nursing, so neither did humans. Besides the fact that he compared me to cattle, it was absolutely inaccurate😂 Wouldn't trade my "Irish twins" for the world, though!
