So I'm 7w1d today and we had our first ultrasound (dating ultrasound). My real first appointment with my OB is on 7/18. At the vaginal US today they saw the sac, yolk sac, and a tiny tiny fetal pole. We couldn't hear the heartbeat but the tech said she could see it but it's too early. She left to go talk to the Dr. and when she came back she said they couldn't give me an exact date because they said it was too early. They said I was around 5 weeks gestational. We tracked our ovulation and I know our conception date is either 6/3 or 6/4. That's right at the 5 week mark so it seems to be accurate. Is this normal at this stage? Are we not as far along as we thought because maybe implantation took longer? So am I technically 5 weeks (conception date) and not 7 weeks (LMP date)?? Confused on what week I should be tracking at in the app.
