GBS+ and water birth?

Just found out I'm gbs+ and I've been planning on a water birth. I forgot to ask my midwife if I could still do one, I'll call her tomorrow, but I was wondering if anyone has tested positive and has gone through with a water birth. From what's online, it seems to be up to the doctor/midwife and I can't find a straight answer.

I've never had a water birth, but I have been GBS+ for 3 out of my four pregnancies. You need to get medication for it during labor via IV, but I don't think it should interfere with a water birth as long as you can still be hooked up to the IV until the meds are done. (I think it's four rounds of penicillin or something like that.)
