If you just masturbate, does that mean you are sexually active?

When the doctor asks you if you are sexually active, should you say yes if you masturbate? I don't have sex or have a boyfriend or anything, but I do masturbate on occasion. I think I may have a yeast infection so I was going to go to the doctor but I know they'll ask about sex. Would I tell them I am sexually active? I'm young so idk I think it would be sort of awkward to tell them that.
